Hi! I’m Imogen, and I’m so glad you’re here.
I’m a lover of all things Austen, reading, yearning, and daydreaming. I’m a former classical musician and was (predictably) an English major in college. Nowadays, I like to spend my time reading all kinds of romance novels, rewatching my favorite Austen adaptations, and drinking matcha lattes.

With The Austen Box, I’ve carefully curated beautiful editions of Austen’s novels, along with my favorite Austen retellings, and paired them with delightful Austen-themed gifts and ephemera. Is this all just a ploy for me to add even more to my Austen collection? Maybe, but at least now I’m doing it with friends.

Choose a month-to-month subscription or treat yourself to a 6-month run. Each box is themed around a Jane Austen novel.
Step 2: The Austen Box ships!
We carefully pack your box and ship it straight to you. Each box ships at the beginning of the month.
Step 3: Get lost in a book

How do I know what book is next?

We post on our social media on the 11th or 12th to preview what our book will be for the following month. (We also send an email!) Check out our Facebook or Instagram to see what book is next!

If I already have that book, can I skip the month?

Yes, you are welcome to skip the month if you already have the book we'll be sending out. You can do this through your subscription manager. Even if you do have the book, I recommend getting the box so you don't miss out on any of the accompanying goodies!

Are the books you include explicit?

Sometimes yes, sometimes no!
When I look for Austen retellings, I'm looking for a good plot, excellent characterization, and a healthy dose of yearning. Sometimes, those retellings include spice. I'm always sure to include whether there are explicit scenes in my announcement emails. Subscribers always have the option to skip the month if it's a book that they know they wouldn't like (or that they already own!).

When does The Austen Box ship?

Each box will ship on or around the 5th of each month. You will receive a notification when your box ships, along with tracking information.

If you purchase before the 30th/31st of the month, you are guaranteed to receive the following month's box. Depending on our stock, purchases made on the 1st or 2nd may also ship out that month! After that, you will receive your first box on the 5th of the month after next (e.g.: if you purchase on September 4th, your box will ship October 5th, but you will not be charged September 15th).

How much is shipping?

Subscription boxes will ship for a flat fee of $6.00 which will be added at checkout.

When will I be billed?

You will be charged when you place your order for your first box on the day that you place the order.

After your first box, your payment method will be billed on the 15th of the month in order to receive the box the following month (e.g., you will be billed on November 15th for the box that will ship the first week of December).

Is the Austen Box returnable?

We are unable to issue refunds for The Austen Box orders that have already been processed. However, if you receive a damaged item, please let us know right away at support@theaustenbox.com and we will work together to make it right.
